As part of project exploitation activities, Prof. Dr. Erkay Savaş from Sabancı University visited Ferath Kherif and Bogdan Draganski of Insel University Hospital Bern in Switzerland between 20-22 June 2024. During the meeting, they exchanged ideas to develop machine learning diagnosis techniques using brain images from different hospitals using homomorphic encryption and privacy-preserving federated learning.

Ferath Kherif studies neuroscience and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s at Laboratory for Research in Neuroimaging (LREN), Department of Clinical Neurosciences, Lausanne University Hospital and University of Lausanne. Bogdan Draganski is a medical researcher at Insel University Hospital Bern, Switzerland.
