On 05.12.2024, Professor Erkay Savas delivered a talk titled “Federated Learning over Encrypted Data” at The International Conference on Neural Information Processing (ICONIP) 2024, an annual event organized by the Asia Pacific Neural Network Society (APNNS). His presentation took place during the workshop on Privacy Compliant Health Data as a Service for AI Development.
The workshop explored solutions for privacy-compliant utilization of health data to unlock AI’s potential. This initiative, developed by 20 partners from 10 European countries, is funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Programme. It aims to revolutionize Europe’s healthcare ecosystem with secure, privacy-preserving AI models as a service and synthetic healthcare data as a service.
The workshop served as an introduction to this ambitious project, showcasing its approach to creating a next-generation healthcare ecosystem through cutting-edge AI technologies.
